‘Golden Summer’ explores expressive mark making through a combination of brushwork and palette knife textures, to capture the warmth and glow of an Australian beach day. This figurative study of sunbathers layers colour and gesture to evoke a feeling of the nostalgia of summer.
About the Artist
Jennifer Rosnell
jenrosnell_artJennifer Rosnell is local artist whose oil painting practice blends light, colour and coastal nostalgia. A graduate of the College of Fine Arts UNSW, she works across figurative scenes, ferries and moments of everyday coastal life. Her work has been recognised in numerous prizes such as the Portia Geach Memorial Award and the Mosman Art Prize, and featured in publications including Home Beautiful and Galah magazine. She is represented by Olsen Gallery with an upcoming solo exhibition in June 2026.
